Bellampalli Town is situated at 1904’32’’ of Northern Latitude and 79029’17’’ of Eastern longitude. The defunct Grampanchayat Bellampalli has been constituted as Notified Area Committee Bellampalli vide G.O.M.S. No. 48/M.A.,Date:31-01-1987 and consequently converted as 2rd Grade Municipality in the year 1987 The population of the Municipality as per 2011 census 56396, Geographical area of the Municipality13.84 Sq.Kmts. The town is located on Broad-gauge line of Delhi to Hyderabad. The town is also situated on Hyderabad – Chanda State Highway Road with a distance of 300 Kms., from Hyderabad. The town is having 34 Nos. of Election Wards. The Coal mines of Singareni Collieries are existing in around the Municipal limits.
Due to the short age of sanitation staff in the Municipality (60) Nos. of contract labours are engaged on daily wages and maintaining the sanitation. Even though it is becoming problem to maintain sanitation in the entire town as there is neither sufficient staff nor the regular Sanitary Inspector.
However the Municipality is taking-up all steps to keep the town clean and hygiene with the available meagre staff.
